Lil Ru - 21 & Up - The Album

by peake15

Im sure everbody so far has heard bout Lil Ru. From the good to the bad. But im here to present a review of his first official album 21 & Up!

The album starts out with "All I Ever Know" which is a very solid track filled with alot of synthesizers and brass along with a bumpin bassline and catchy hook.

Rick Ross joins Lil Ru for "Yeah Dats Money", which is another bangin track with an addictive hook and great verses by Ru and the Boss.

"I’m Bad" is all about Ru’s swag, this song has a whole lot of autotune in it. Following that song is "Life", this track is mainly about the struggles in life and is one that you will probably skip.

Lil Ru has alot of songs dedicated to the ladies including his first single "Nasty Song", "Sexy Ladies" and "F*ck Somethin" which may be the best song out of those 3. The beat is really tight and Ru has a nice delivery on it.

"Ride" is an organ heavy beat, sounds a little bit like some old UGK, very Dirty South sounding song and loaded with alot of bass.

All in all, this is solid album. If you are not familiar with Lil Ru, I would compare him somewhat to Plies, especially with all of the songs he makes about the ladies and mixing in some hardcore tracks as well.
